How dare those cyclists get on the freeway and hold up all that traffic?!?

What's so funny?

Funny and Bizarre Bicycles—they all look pretty good to me! [thanks tom]

cycle2max reloaded

I see that cycle2max has had a revamp.

Don't mess with orange mesh

A community service announcement by Tony A on Sydney Cyclist.

For what it's worth, I always give stuff like this a wide berth—and now I'm extra glad that I do!

The joy of cycling in the rain

Two bloggers who I regularly read, Surly Dave and kimbofo, have both been caught in the rain lately. Neither complained about it. On the contrary, they seemed to enjoy it.

Either way, it's a cool advert.

Finding the right motivation

A running friendship saves the life of one pal.

Remember

The World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims is on 16 November this year:

Initiated by RoadPeace in 1993, this day is now globally recognized with the adoption by the UN General Assembly on 26th October 2005 of a resolution to recognize the third Sunday in November of every year as the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, as an "appropriate acknowledgement for victims of road traffic crashes and their families"

Volunteer

From the Bicycle Film Festival:

We still have a few spots left to fill in our crack team of bicycle loving volunteers. Roles include ushering, box office, bicycle valet parking, bar work (RSA preferred but not essential), bussing, merchandise sales and front of house. The Bicycle Film Festival requires minimum 4- hour / maximum 7 hour shifts, minimum 21-hour commitment. Apart from taking part in the most awesome festival taking place in Melbourne this year, BFF vollies will receive an invitation to the VIP and Volunteer closing party on Monday 24 November, a Melbourne BFF t-shirt designed by Lisa Gorman, food on every shift, a gift from the Bicycle Film Festival and a reference from Ambiguous Horse.

See the BFF site for contacts.

I loathe getting rained on - having road gunk and cold water slowly seeping through my clothes is not my idea of a fun time. I'm often also riding to somewhere, like work, and sitting there in soaking wet clothes all day is not appealing either.
