The April issue of Royalauto landed today and with the same pleasure that derives from picking a scab, I found that the "all bikes are unroadworthy" debate continues unabated.

In this month's exciting episode:

Bike Confusion

Stan Miller (RA Feb) claims that all bikes today are "unroadworthy and therefore unsafe". Maybe he is confusing a bike bought at a chain store with one from a proper bike shop. Bike shops encourage you to buy the necessary accessories when you purchase a bike.

Benjamin Spencer, Warnambool

I reckon that'll be the end of correspondence on the issue - this brief letter addresses Stan Miller's original gripe (mostly) and G. Jackson's sub-standard and largely irrelevant response.
