I love Autumn

At the risk of being repetitive, here I am singing the praises of Autumn cycling. Again.

If you didn’t ride this morning, here’s what you missed:

Autumn leaves in Yarra Park

Plus it was foggy when I left this morning. I do love riding my bike on foggy mornings.

You know, I’ve said before that Autumn is the best time for cycling in Melbourne and no doubt I’ll say it again. This morning was just another example of those golden Autumnal mornings… (What’s that? You say it’s Winter already? Shush now. As far as I’m concerned, it’s still Autumn. Not that there’s anything wrong with Winter…)

  1. I agree completely. I love riding (and running) at this time of year. Cooler temperatures make for a better riding experience if you make sure you are warm enough when you start, and can strip off a bit when you warm up.

  2. I felt like we went straight from summer to winter this year – not enough of the cold night and startlingly clear days. I blame being 30C at the end of April and then raining half of May and 2/3rds of everyone I knew being sick.
