Bendable fender

Time to indulge my little mudguard obsession again.

I rather liked this mudguard hack.

It looks like some kind of foam offcut, a bit of heat applied to give it a bend in the right spot and held in place by ever-reliable masking tape.

It probably doesn’t work all that well when things get really stormy, but it’s just so rough-and-ready that I couldn’t walk past without taking a snapshot.

  1. I can’t imagine it standing up to a Manchester downpour…

The bike looks to be looked after and in surprisingly good fettle to sport such a hack, imo.

  2. A real handyman would have used duct tape.

  3. Seems like a bloody good idea. I think I will be heading down to target tonight to see if I can find a pool noodle because I think thats what it is.

I ride to work regularly and have the problem of a wet bum and back.
