Cycling in Australia

The education section of The Age this week presented a handy little summary of some of the recent issues on cycling in Melbourne.

The Australian Bicycling Achievement Awards were established in 2002 to recognise innovation, commitment and contribution towards promoting and encouraging cycling. Nominations close on 30 November.

Violence and Stupidity

Motorist shoots cyclist. You’ve got to wonder what Neanderthal kind of mind decides to shoot a stranger at point blank range, presumably as some kind of prank.

Probably the same flavour of idiot that doors a cyclist from a moving car. I predict brilliant careers as abattoir workers and toilet cleaners at McDonald’s for the little dipshits involved. The have obviously never seen this video.

Cyclist stabs motorist. It sounds like the rider’s line of thinking was: you endangered my life, so I’ll endanger yours. Utter lunacy.
