"Was almost run over by a Right To Lifer, that could have potentially been ironic." --@rosewal (Twitter)
I'm late to the party on the Albert St separated bike lanes, but that's no reason why I shouldn't have a damn good rant about it.
"We believe that the benefits of cycling as part of the transport mix are not being fully realised because of poor public policy...there are major benefits to the City that are not being realised (less congested roads and public transport; less air pollution; lower carbon emissions; lower public health costs; quieter, safer roads and a more pleasant public realm)." --Melbourne City Bicycle Rider
“The bicycle has a soul. If you succeed to love it, it will give you emotions that you will never forget” --Mario Cipollini
At the risk of being repetitive, here I am singing the praises of Autumn cycling. Again.
This entry was received as a comment to my earlier post, Gardiners Creek Trail: Mostly good, but it really deserves its own post, so here it is. The author, Zed, corresponds occasionally with this blog and is connected to the Boroondara BUG.
"A three hour bike ride means three hours of mental refreshment; it would take extreme concentration to achieve that by meditation or some like method." --Dave Moulton
If only we could Boroondara-ise the whole trail...
Note to would-be bike path racers: if you want to "bury" me as you pass, make sure you can sustain your pace...
"I lost 20 pounds...How? I drank bear piss and took up fencing. How the f--k you think, son? I exercised." --ShitMyDadSays
