		<description>&lt;p&gt;Even if it&#039;s out of warranty, I&#039;d be taking that pair back because the design is fundamentally flawed. It wouldn&#039;t be nearly as bad if you could change the cleat nut when it breaks, but you can&#039;t. Why would they make a shoe with a replaceable part sealed into the sole?&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I had a bolt on a cleat come loose once -- the cleat pivots around the remaining bolt and just swivels in place. As you deduced, the shoe stays on the pedal as you twist.&lt;/p&gt;
