I forgot to mention yesterday that I tuned-in to the YarraBUG Radio Show on 3CR. I sometimes pick up the odd bike podcast from places distant, but it was extra cool to hear some local voices and views hit the airwaves. I reckon there might have been a few "opening night" jitters (and perhaps a minor shortage in the microphone department) but it was a pretty polished and professional outing. Congratulations go out to the whole team.

Hopefully they'll find a spot to park their programme notes, either at 3CR or at the YarraBUG web site, so the chronically absent-minded (i.e. me) can catch-up on bits that they've missed or weren't listening to properly. And here's hoping they'll qualify for a spot on the official 3CR podcast list before too long.

In the meantime, it'll be a matter of marking the diary and tuning in (855 AM Melbourne) or streaming it at 10am Melbourne time each Monday. Make it a regular date—I've got a feeling this show will only get betterer and betterer.

In the next week we'll create a separate page on the YarraBUG site to include show descriptions and who's on this week.

The option to podcast is available in the near future, although as a new show we have to get off the training wheels first before 3CR give us permission to podcast.

Thanks for the pointer; I'll set an alarm for 10:00am Mondays.

There's also a Melbourne bike podcast "Along for the Ride" from 3RRR http://www.rrr.org.au/podcast.php

I was ready for the show but my computer wasn't. I will have to bring in a portable radio next time.

Three mics, six brave announcers ... yes there was a bit of 'lets share the mic/headphones' going on!

But we persevered and shall be back next week for more, although rostering shows with one person doing paneling and two doing the talking will probably be much easier!
