Well, it's been shown here and in Auckland and they've shown it again in the USA: bikes beat cars on the morning commute.

According to the Orlando Sentinel in a challenge organised by MetroPlan Orlando over a 7 mile route, cyclists beat a car (actually, an SUV - even more delicious) by five minutes. I've seen drivers run red lights to save five seconds - what are they thinking?

Looks like this is about as close as the car got to the cyclists…

Yes, the cyclists beat the SUV by five minutes. They were allowed to select their own route from Point A to Point B, but the SUV was caught in traffic during the morning commute. Last year during the challenge, the cyclist won by less than one minute.

woowoowoo

call that an SUV?! at least mine has a dirty big bullbar ;-)

Seriously though, unless I 'bend' the rules I can't even ride my motorbike to work as fast as I can my pushbike.
