Some bikes are unroadworthy
The “all bikes are unroadworthy” debate continues in the letters pages of the Royalauto.
The April issue of Royalauto landed today and with the same pleasure that derives from picking a scab, I found that the “all bikes are unroadworthy” debate continues unabated.
In this month’s exciting episode:
Bike Confusion
Stan Miller (RA Feb) claims that all bikes today are “unroadworthy and therefore unsafe”. Maybe he is confusing a bike bought at a chain store with one from a proper bike shop. Bike shops encourage you to buy the necessary accessories when you purchase a bike.
Benjamin Spencer, Warnambool
I reckon that’ll be the end of correspondence on the issue – this brief letter addresses Stan Miller’s original gripe (mostly) and G. Jackson’s sub-standard and largely irrelevant response.
